7 honest Turno alternatives for small Airbnb hosts in 2026

A host's honest review of Turno alternatives - Breezeway, Properly, Operto, and more - with recommendations based on how many properties you actually manage.

I switched away from Turno last fall after the same booking went out to three different cleaners on the same day. None of them showed up. I had a 2pm check-in.

That’s the story that made me start looking for a Turno alternative. It’s also the story that made me build one - but first, here’s an honest review of every Turno alternative I evaluated, ranked by whether they actually fit a small host (1–10 properties) versus a property management company.

This list is specifically for small hosts. If you manage 50+ properties, most of these will feel underpowered - you probably want Breezeway or Operto. But if you have 3, 5, or 8 listings, you’re the reader I wrote this for.

The TL;DR

Tool Best for Starting price Gotcha
Turno Hosts who like the ecosystem ~$8/property/mo Buggy notifications, slow support
Breezeway 20+ properties, enterprise ops $125/mo minimum Priced for PMCs, not hosts
Properly Hosts who care about checklists $8/property/mo Steep learning curve, cleaner app required
Operto Teams Mid-sized portfolios Custom / call Sales-led, no self-serve
Tidy Homes + STRs mixed $29/mo More consumer-focused; limited STR depth
Doinn International hosts ~€10/property EU-focused; thin US coverage
hostcare.app 1–10 properties, hate cleaner apps $19–79/mo flat Newer, founder-supported

Every one of these is a real product that real hosts use. The question is which one fits you.

1. Turno (formerly TurnoverBnB) - the incumbent

Good for: hosts already in the Turno marketplace who want to find cleaners and schedule them in one place.

Pricing: tiered, but roughly $8/property/month. A 5-property host pays ~$40/month.

What it does well:

The problems hosts keep writing about:

Verdict: if you already use Turno and it’s working, don’t switch for the sake of switching. If you’re shopping for the first time, at least try one alternative before committing.

2. Breezeway - the enterprise play

Good for: property management companies with 20+ properties, in-house cleaning teams, and compliance requirements.

Pricing: $125/month minimum, then per-property. That minimum is the tell - this product isn’t priced for the 3-property host.

What it does well:

The problems for small hosts:

Verdict: skip unless you’re running this like a business with employees, not a side income.

3. Properly - the checklist-obsessed one

Good for: hosts who care deeply about standardized cleaning quality across multiple properties.

Pricing: ~$8/property/month with minimums.

What it does well:

The problems:

Verdict: if you have three identical Airbnbs and want them cleaned identically, Properly is probably the right fit. Otherwise, overkill.

4. Operto Teams - the mid-market option

Good for: 10–30 property hosts with in-house cleaners.

Pricing: “contact sales.” If you see that and you’re a small host, move on - it’s priced for the people they want to talk to.

Verdict: not evaluated in depth because the sales-call gate told me everything I needed to know about their target customer. Revisit this if you cross 15 properties.

5. Tidy - the consumer crossover

Good for: hosts who also own their own home cleanings or handle a mix of long-term + short-term rentals.

Pricing: $29/month subscription.

What it does well:

The problems:

Verdict: try it if you manage both your home and a couple of Airbnbs. Not my pick if you’re STR-only.

6. Doinn - the European option

Good for: hosts in Europe who want local cleaner marketplaces.

Pricing: roughly €10/property/month.

Verdict: if you’re in the US, the marketplace side is thin. Skip. If you’re in Portugal, Spain, or Italy, Doinn is probably your best option.

7. hostcare.app - yes, this one

Disclosure: I built this. Full disclosure, but I’m going to give you the honest pitch.

Good for: hosts with 1–10 properties who:

Pricing: flat $19 (up to 3 properties) / $39 (up to 10) / $79 (up to 25) per month. No per-seat fees. 14-day trial, no credit card.

What it does differently:

The honest downsides:

If you’re thinking “I just want the simple thing that works,” it’s worth a 14-day look. Start free trial.

How to actually pick one

Three questions to ask yourself before you commit to any of these:

1. Does your cleaner have to install anything?

If yes, you’re introducing friction. Some cleaners are fine with it; a surprising number aren’t. The best predictor of “cleaner reliably confirms on time” is “zero steps between text and confirmation.” If a tool requires an app, budget a 10–20% dropoff in cleaner responsiveness.

2. What’s the monthly floor?

Price per property matters less than whether there’s a minimum. Breezeway’s $125 minimum is fine at 20 properties and brutal at 3. Read the pricing page twice.

3. What happens when it breaks?

Every one of these tools will fail you at some point. The question is whether support responds in an hour or three days. Email their support team with a pre-sales question and see what comes back. If it’s slow now, it’ll be slower when you’re their customer.

The summary table

If you want me to pick for you:

Whatever you pick, use the free trial fully. Schedule a real clean through it. See how your cleaner actually reacts to the SMS or the app install. That’s the test.
